NC President Deuba Reaffirms Government’s Commitment to Rule of Law

Kathmandu: At a festive event hosted by the Nepali Congress (NC) in Kathmandu Metropolitan City to mark Badadashain, Deepawali, Nepal Sambat, and Chhath, NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba extended his heartfelt greetings for happiness, peace, and prosperity to all Nepalis. The former Prime Minister emphasized the government’s dedication to upholding the rule of law, asserting that this principle remains a priority for the current administration.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development Prakashman Singh, also present at the event, discussed the accomplishments of the government’s first 100 days in office. He expressed confidence that the objectives set by his ministry and others had been successfully achieved, underscoring the administration’s commitment to transparency and accountability. Singh also pointed to the opposition's criticism, remarking that time would reveal the reality of their claims and accusations.

Singh reiterated that the government intends to adhere strictly to the rule of law, ensuring a legal and transparent approach to governance. In this vein, he expressed his commitment to pursuing a constitutional amendment through consensus, aiming to create a unified approach among all political parties in Nepal.

The event was attended by NC leaders from central, provincial, and local levels, showcasing party unity and commitment to upholding democratic values and the rule of law amidst Nepal’s ongoing political and economic challenges.
